Game Farm Vineyard, Oakville

Sangiovese

Planted in rocky soil in the middle of the Napa Valley floor, this Oakville vineyard is known for producing world class Cabernet Sauvignon. There is a little known block that produces some of the best Sangiovese grapes in the world. We strongly believe that when made correctly, these grapes rival the best Brunellos of Tuscany. This vineyard has been farmed by the Vyborny family for decades and is a true Napa Valley gem.

Atlas Peak

Cabernet Sauvignon

This vineyard sits atop a dramatic mountain peak at 1200 feet elevation above the valley. Vines grow in rich bedrock soil, producing a low yielding grape crop which results in concentrated flavors and tannin structure.

Howell Mountain

Merlot

Grapes on Howell Mountain have the most beautiful view of any in the Napa Valley. Although several small microclimates exist within the mountain fog layers, all soil types are nutrient poor which stresses the vines, producing intense, varietally correct wines from small clusters and berries. We find this area gives us grapes to make Merlot that is unlike any other.
